Look3D – RealD 3D Glasses: Review

Are you are a regular moviegoer like myself?

Do you happen to check out a lot of the 3D movies?  I know I do.  Recently I have been reading reports that have been popping up about 3D glasses they give you at the theater are not cleaned properly and carry quite a bit of bacteria and germs.  I am sure that I am not alone in thinking that I really do not want them resting on my face for 2 hours.  Wouldn’t it be nice to have your own personal pair of 3D glasses that are a style that fits you right and also gives you the piece-of-mind that the only germs on them are your own?

I recently went to a screening of the new movie Tangled and had a chance to try out 2 pair of Real D 3D glasses from Australian based company Look3D. One pair was from “The Movie Collection” and the other pair was from “The Designer Collection”

The first pair of glasses I tried where the gold aviator style from the Designer Collection. This style is unisex. They have a thin metal frame and come in a nice hard case with a cleaning cloth. All the Look3D glasses are RealD certified. I absolutely loved these. The frame is so light that you can barely feel them on your face. The one drawback to seeing 3D films is that not many people like having to wear glasses to watch them. The aviator style is a great substitute. It is the lightest RealD certified glasses out there.

The second pair of glasses I tried out were a classic frame from The Movie Collection. These are basically more stylish and a better quality version of the glasses you are already used to wearing. The glasses fit fine and are made of a sturdy poly carbonate. They also come with a hard case and cleaning cloth. Like the aviator style, they are also unisex. If your main objective is comfort over style, I would stick to the aviator glasses.

Even though I only reviewed two pair of Look3D glasses, they actually have a huge selection to choose from. They not only have men’s and women’s, but they also have kid’s glasses as well. One thing Look3D also has, are clip on RealD frames that you can attach to your prescription glasses. I know that is something many who don’t like to wear 2 sets of glasses at one time in a 3D movie would go for.

Thanks to Keep it Classic
